Brief Summaries 
Exclusions and Limitations will apply
  • Medical & Dental Coverage
    Provides coverage for the necessary medical, surgical and emergency dental care costs if you become sick or accidentally injured while on your covered trip. Coverage is in excess of your standard coverage, except where prohibited.
  • Accidental Death & Dismemberment (Travel Accident)
    Provides coverage if you are injured by an accident, which occurs while you are on a trip, and you suffer the loss of life or limb within 365 days of the accident.
  • Pre-Existing Medical Condition Coverage
    A Pre-Existing Medical condition means a sickness or injury during the *180-day period immediately prior to your effective date for which you or your Traveling Companion:
    1. Received, or received a recommendation for, a diagnostic test, examination, or medical treatment, or
    2. Took or received a prescription for drugs or medicine.

    Exclusions apply. Item two does not apply to a condition which is treated or controlled solely through the taking of prescription drugs or medicine and remains treated or controlled without any adjustment or change in the required prescription throughout the *180-day period before coverage is effective under this Policy.

    The Company will not pay for loss or expense caused by or incurred resulting from a Pre-Existing Condition, as defined in the Definition section, including death that results from.

    For the Basic, Premium, and Elite travel protection plans, this Exclusion does not apply provided you meet the following requirements:
    1. Coverage is purchased prior to or within 15 days of your Initial Deposit; and
    2. You are medically able to travel at the time coverage is purchased; and
    3. You insure 100% of your prepaid Trip costs that are subject to cancellation penalties or restrictions.

  • Trip Cancellation
    Provides reimbursement for unused, non-refundable, pre-paid trip costs if you are prevented from taking your trip due to a covered reason.
  • Trip Interruption
    Provides reimbursement for unused, non-refundable, pre-paid trip costs if your trip is interrupted due to a covered event. Also provides reimbursement for the additional transportation cost to return home or rejoin your group.
  • Optional Trip Cancellation for Any Reason (Not available to NY Residents)
    Provides reimbursement up to 75% of unused, non-refundable, prepaid trip cost when you cancel for any reason. Available as an optional upgrade on the Elite plan if purchased within 24 hours of initial deposit. Other conditions apply, please see your Description of Coverage or Policy for details.
  • Travel Delay
    Provides reimbursement for reasonable expenses incurred such as accommodations, meals and local transportation if you are delayed for 6 hours or more during your trip due to a covered reason.
  • Missed Connection
    Provides benefits for additional transportation expenses, reasonable local accommodation expenses and unused land or water arrangements if you miss your cruise or tour departure as the result of the cancellation or delay of 3 hours or more of your regularly scheduled airline flight due to adverse weather.
  • Rental Car Damage Coverage
    Provides primary coverage if your rental car is damaged due to collision, fire, flood, theft, vandalism, windstorm or hail.Not Available in (TX)
  • Baggage Coverage
    Provides coverage for loss, theft or damage to your baggage and covered personal effects during your covered trip.
  • Baggage Delay
    Provides reimbursement for the purchase of necessary items if baggage is delayed (for the specified amount of hours located in your state specific document) during your covered trip.
  • Sporting Equipment Coverage
    Provides coverage for loss, theft or damage of your sporting equipment and devices needed to participate in a particular sport, taken by you for use on your trip.
  • Sporting Equipment Delay Coverage
    Provides reimbursement for the cost of sporting equipment rentals if your sporting equipment is delayed (for the specified amount of hours located in your state specific document) during your covered trip.
  • 24/7 Emergency Assistance Services
    These services offer on-the-spot and immediate assistance for unexpected problems that can arise during your trip. The hotline operates 24/7 for help anytime, any place while traveling.
  • Concierge Services
    Get pre-trip assistance, and help scheduling golf tee times, making restaurant, airline and rental car reservations, and ticketing for entertainment and other special events.
  • Identity Theft Resolution Services
    A service that provides assistance when your identity has been compromised while traveling on your vacation. This service is automatically included for a full 180 days starting on your scheduled departure date. ID Theft Resolution does not include, and shall not assist you for thefts involving non-U.S. bank accounts
  • Telemedicine
    Connect instantly with a network of physicians for information, advice, and treatment, including prescription medication, when appropriate.Note: Telemedicine services may not be available in all states, and international services may be limited.
  • No Out-of-Pocket Medical Expenses
    If you get sick or injured while traveling, we can get you to a trusted provider and even handle the payment for acute treatments up to $1,000.

Coronavirus Info

The Coronavirus outbreak is considered a foreseeable event as of January 29, 2020. This means coverage is unavailable for losses related to the Coronavirus if the insurance plan was purchased on or after January 29, 2020.

COVID-19 was formally declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020. For insurance plans that exclude pandemics, coverage is unavailable for losses that occurred on or after March 11, 2020. Plan exclusions for a pandemic can vary according to your state of residence and the plan you purchased. To review your coverage details, please see your Description of Coverage or Insurance Policy.

For any plans that include coverage for losses due to sickness, we are providing coverage if you, a family member, or a traveling companion contract COVID-19 and plan requirements are met. Eligible coverages can include Trip Cancellation prior to your scheduled departure, Trip Interruption, Travel Delay, Medical and Dental, and Emergency Assistance and Transportation coverage during your trip.
